Rajmudra Architects was founded in 2011 as a boutique practice with a deliberately
narrow focus — the private home.
Luxury villas, premium bungalows, farmhouses, boutique resorts and private residences
are the whole of the work, not one offering among many. The studio chose this
constraint early, on a simple conviction: fluency in residential architecture is earned
through depth and repetition, not variety. Working only with homes is what makes the
work exact.
That focus is personal. Ar. Nitin Markad shapes every commission himself — from the
first reading of a site to the last detail resolved on site. Clients work directly with
the architect who draws their house, and projects are taken on in small number so that
attention is never divided.
Behind the practice runs a second, quieter discipline. As founder of Rajmudra Design
Academy, Nitin has spent years teaching, mentoring young architects and leading design
workshops — work that keeps the studio close to research, material knowledge and
evolving technique. Teaching asks that every idea be examined and defended; that rigour
returns to the drawing board, sharpening how each home is conceived, structured and
built.
The result is a luxury residential architecture rooted in context and made to endure —
